In the Oven: Chocolate Chip Marble Cake

Chocolate Chip Marble Cake it is for Valentine's Day. And, of course, drizzled with chocolate syrup and decadent red hearts.

I was debating what to bake this year but figure I can't go wrong with chocolate & cake.

Vanilla cake mix
Water, vegetable oil and eggs
3/4 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
1 container of vanilla frosting

Mix cake batter like usual. Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips into the remaining cake batter. Stir.

Reserve 1/2 cup cake batter. Pour remaining cake batter into heart-shaped pan. Add chocolate syrup to the 1/2 cup cake batter on reserve. Stir.

Drop tablespoons of the now-chocolatey cake batter into the pan in mounds. Using a knife, cut through batter in an 'S' shape. Turn pan 1/4 and repeat.

Bake 35 minutes.

Cool completely. Add frosting. Serve.
